How do I put a LJ-cut in my entry? How about with customized text?
It's a very simple tag; that if you use it long enough; you can remember how to do it. And you won't be feeling like a retard asking how to do a lj-cut after using lj for 3 years. XP

Keep in mind you DO need to have an online surver to upload your images. I highly suggest photobucket. It's free; and it's, uh, awesome.

Now THESE are pretty hard to memorize. I've grown accustomed to using them, as time passes though. :).

font size
You can change the size all the way from 1 to 10. :). 10 KILLS friend's pages, though.
Font color
You can choose from any color in the rainbow; or get specific and use the #00000 method of color-picking.
font face
You can use any font you'd like to, basically, like verdana; or arial for instance. :D.
All three aspects combined into one tag
You can't do individual font tags without closing one and adding another; because that'll confuse mr.lj and make it implode. so if you want to change the color and size; you'd need to use it all in one tag like up above.
How do I create a textarea/i-frame in my entry?
Very simple! :).

How do I put a background on my LJ?
It isn't as hard as you think. If you use the S1 style like I prefer to do when making layouts (because S2 is fucking RETARDED by my standards. Easier my ass.) Make sure you put this in your OVERRIDES box found at the customize page.
1) background-image : Your image URL.
2) background-attackment : You can change this to either scroll or fixed. Fixed will keep the image in place; scroll will move the image.
3) background-color : Color you want your background to be. Dur.
4) background-position : Where you want your picture to be placed on your layout. You can use: center left right bottom. You can also combine two, like bottom-left. Or use percentages, like %50 %0. It goes horizantal% x vertical%. .. did that make sense?
5) background-repeat : If you're using a pattern; make sure it says repeat. If you only want the image to appear once, put no-repeat. You can also just make the image repeat in one direction, like repeat-y or repeat-x.
6) margin-top : If you're using a header/banner for your journal, add the number of pixels of how tall your image is + 10 extra. i.e. My current layout's header is 700 x 300 px. I would put down 310 for the margin-top then.
How do I put background music in my livejournal?
www.example.com = web address of your webhosting site
useraccount = name of your account (not applicable to everyone)
soundfile.mid = name of the soundfile (can also be wavs and mp3s files)
loop = n-times/infinite, n-times = play n times before stopping, infinite = continuous
You'll need a host for the song; AND a paid account. Make sure you put this style inbetween the < body > < / body > part of your style.
How do I change the wording on my comments?
This all depends on the style you're using.
For: Default LiveJournal, Punquin Elegant w/Sidebar, Notepad, Refried Paper, Clean and Simple, Magazine styles
For: generator style
Now. When this is pasted into your overrides box, we can start changing the text.
Within the code, look for the words Comment Here. That will be the part where people can comment. Durr. Change this to whatever you want.
Within the code, look for the word Comment. This will be where the comments are tallied up by how many you have. Change this to what you want.
Now; if your word requires a change when there's more than one comment, like if it's Life. Then
there would need to be a %%mc-plural-s%%; which there already. If your comment doesnt require a pluralization; then remove this.

2px : How thick/big the border will be.
dotted : The style of the borders can be dotted; dashed; solid, or double
#FFFFFF : The color of the borders. Look here for a nice color hex reference. :).
